THE EMERALD CITY

We had a fabulous trip, visiting Johnny & Emily in Seattle. This is a back door and front door shot of their house in which they rent space. The owner is a chiropractor, of all things! OYSTER SHOT! Down the hatch! (ewwww) One of our favorite restaurants, Anthony's. We always visit when we're in Seattle, and my favorite dish is their alder-plank grilled halibut. The locks in Seattle, where the water rises for the ships to go through...and, we saw Salmon "going up the ladder"...quite the educational experience for me...still not sure I fully understand. One of the many farmer's markets. We bought salmon, corn on the cob, and salad fixings for an extremely fresh, delicious meal. One of our several hikes we took through the lush forests of the Northwest. The skyline of Seattle at night....and, a walk by the ocean A walk around Green Lake, which is a block and a half from where J & E live. This one is exclusively for Addysen and Cassandra...please show them!! A stop at neighborhood Zeek's for pizza An "ice-cream" boat tour of Union Lake...or, is it Lake Union?...upon which we saw the house-boat from "Sleepless in Seattle". An information stop in the University of Washington Arboretum, where Johnny does an internship on day/week...getting some great experience for his career. A troll sculpture, under the Fremont Bridge, in Seattle. That is a real VW bug under the hand. Seattle Pacific University campus Discovery Park views
