HAPPY EASTER
Sorry, Em...we didn't do too well on pics today. This is all
we have. This is Kim and I bundling crayons for the elementary
age kids at church. They got to come to "big" service today with
their families. So, we gave out clipboards with coloring sheets and
crayons.
Cassandra was in awe of the Easter Bunny...she stared him down!
Jeff, we missed you at brunch at the Cheyenne Mtn. Resort!

T'WAS THE DAY BEFORE EASTER...
and...it's SNOWING! Yes, again. I tried so hard to resist getting a new Easter outfit...but, it's in my blood. I always get something new for Easter...for at least 30 years now...after all, it's my favorite holiday. So, yesterday...(you can tell I was trying not to, because it's usually purchased way in advance) I bought a new skirt, top, and toe-less shoes. I painted my toe nails, smeared self-tanner on my legs, and began the preparation. Trying to be hopeful...trying to be optimistic... Today, I'm thinking I'll have to wear my long, black, wool coat over my cute new outfit just to keep from shivering...maybe, hat, gloves, and boots, too. Not only did I do this for myself, but true to a promise I made to my girls long ago, I bought an adorable little Easter dress for Cassandra. :-) ...which will be under her snow suit, I'm sure. I've heard it said that God has a sense of humor. Ha-Ha on me. Do you think maybe God is trying to teach me something here? Something about dwelling on the REAL meaning of Easter instead of all this superficial stuff??

THIS BABYSITTING GIG IS A BREEZE...
This is Cassandra at 9:30 a.m., when her parents dropped her off...
and, at 10:30...
AND...12:15 p.m.!! I finally woke her, fed her, changed her...
And, she was ready for fun. She wore her outfit from Auntie Em.
Cute little jeans and shirt with roses...Auntie Em knows cool jeans!
Bring on the fun, Gramma!

Just Words...
Words do not adequately describe the joy of being a grandparent. And, now, we are getting to experience it all again. Noelle is in her second tri-mester with our second grandaughter. We are thrilled beyond words! And blessed beyond measure. Pregnancy, birth, and babies...such extreme miracles. It just amazes me how God planned it all, created everything and everyone so intricately, so lovingly. Anyone who reads my blog probably reads Noelle's blog, also. But, just in case, she has recorded the events and the sentiments...along with beautiful pictures at: www.arizonaplatts.blogspot.com
