PEACH FESTIVAL!!

Leaving home to go to the long-awaited Peach Festival in Palisade, CO. This is the first year it was a possibility for us to attend, since Jack resigned his 20 year position as Summit Crew Chief of the Pikes Peak Marathon, held the same weekend as the Peach Festival. :-) My Christmas present to Jack 2010, was to go to this with a good attitude and, no eye-rolling. Mission accomplished.

Jack did plenty of tasting to find the best...b/c we needed
to bring some home. We were amazed at the number of
orchards in that valley. We found the best.

I bought a hand-crafted wooden bowl from this nice man.

Their claim to fame was that Michelle Obama & girls picked
peaches here.

I'm holding on... :-) The VERY long awaited peach festival is over...well this year's peach festival at least. :-) Now that Dad's retired from the marathon does that mean the peach festival is going to be the new annual tradition for that weekend?? Ha ha! I have no doubt you got the best peaches...but did you find the best ice cream too??
