Jack's office staff got him balloons for his birthday (celebrated the day before), so...on the morning of his actual birthday, we dropped a couple off at the Muresan house, because we knew there was someone there who would get a LOT of enjoyment from them.
Then, we went to Garden of the Gods and had a free, absolutely personal tour, with a guide who is a middle school science teacher...learned lots of interesting things we didn't know before.
This guy was at the visitor's center...quite appropriate for two days before Thanksgiving.

After that, we went to Denver, walked around, took the free bus up and down the 16th Street mall, and went to dinner at The Keg.

Happy birthday to Dad!!! I still think it's funny that of all things he could do on his birthday, Dad wanted to take a tour of Garden of the Gods. Only Dad. :-)
